The Miami Heat has resigned, 24 year old, Beasley after the Phoenix Suns released him from his contract due to his arrest on suspicion of marijuana possession.
Beasley, the No. 2 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, who has been in the media for countless arrests regarding marijuana possession and driving violations has been given a chance to revive his NBA career. He returns to Miami where he got his start as an NBA player and is set for training camp on Oct. 1.
“Michael had the best years of his career with us,” Riley told the Associated Press. “We feel that he can help us.”
Though he has signed with the Heat, Beasley accepted a non-guranteed contract which makes his activities on court and off court crucial to his future in the NBA.
